## Biggest virtual hackathon almost finished

First of all, the current [HackMoney](<https://soliditydeveloper.com/hackmoney-2020>)event has come to an end and it has been a massive success. One can only imagine what kind of cool projects people have built in a 30 days hackathon. Winners will be announced shortly and the next virtual hackathon is already in the planning.

## Devcon 2021

While just a few months ago, the Ethereum foundation [delayed announcing any future plans](<https://blog.ethereum.org/2020/03/02/devcon-whats-ahead/>) and the next Devcon for this year sounded a bit uncertain.

However, new information was [now announced](<https://blog.ethereum.org/2020/05/28/devcon-hacia-colombia-en-2021/>). And now we know there won't be a Devcon 2020. It will be next year. Key take aways for the new [Devcon 6](<https://soliditydeveloper.com/devcon6>):

- Where: Bogotá, Colombia
- Venue: [Agora Bogotá Convention Center](<https://agora-bogota.com/en>) ('by far the best venue to ever host Devcon')
- When: Some time in 2021 (maybe February or March?)

This certainly sounds exciting. A better venue than at Devcon 5 is much needed. If you have never been to a Devcon, get some impressions from my last [Devcon review](<https://soliditydeveloper.com/devcon-5-review>). It is much more than just a conference and will be worth it for many people, even if you just started learning Solidity.
